I’m delighted to present my thoughts and ideas to you for this short film and hope this is but the starting point that we can build on over the coming weeks. What makes our hero different is that unlike everyday people who aim to be extraordinary. His greatest desire in life is to be normal and treated like an equal by qualifying for the abled body Olympics.Who doesn’t relate to the problem identified in these scripts? It’s the complete underdog film. Not only does our hero face the everyday problems that society throws his way but he must face these problems as a blind man.Lift is a short film that aims to bring together it’s audience and unify them through its lead characters’ journey to the commonwealth games. Lift a feel god story. Born to lift the human spirit.

                                                 Plot

Based on true events, Lift tells the story of Damien, a visually impaired weightlifter from the inner west of Sydney striving to fulfill his father’s expectations and dream of competing in the open world athletics championships.
